Mosaic and glass art: what we do

It begins before you

At Romã Studio, we believe the artwork starts with the search. Before cutting a single tile, we learn to see reclaimed materials differently as stories waiting to be rearranged.

What the workshop covers

We begin with the hunt: exploring a curated collection of rescued tiles, salvaged glass, and ceramics gathered from unexpected places. If you joined our Azulejo sessions, you'll bring your own hand-painted tiles into the composition, creating a personal dialogue between your works.

As materials come together, the idea evolves. Textures, origins, and histories guide the architectural composition. Then comes the craft: cutting, bonding, and grouting, the technical skills that transform gathered fragments into a cohesive, modern piece.

More than a workshop

This is a practice of discovery and reuse, a way of working that continues long after you leave the studio.
